Intel HD Graphics problem

Hi all, just received a new pc with an i3 processor and until i get the new psu in I'll be running with the intel hd graphics. However I've got a small problem in that after booting up the first time (without a problem) and windows updating all of the drivers (again was working fine at my 1080p resolution) I left it on for about an hour and came back for my monitor to tell me there was no video signal. It works fine in safe mode, it works fine if I uninstall intel hd graphics and let it choose the 'standard vga adapter' driver (although res limited) but obviously I want it all to be working correctly.

Does it sound like a driver issue or hardware? I know the HD graphics are cpu driven but I wasn't sure if due to the fact that it's working in safe mode currently meant that the hardware was likely to be fine?

Essentially I'm a bit stuck and until my new psu arrives I can't even try another graphics card in there currently :/

Any suggestions as to finding a resolution?

Cheers

I think your best bet is probably go and download the latest Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for the i3 (released on 02/02/11) and install that, and see how it goes from there:

On the side note...I have built a HTPC for someone using i3 540 and only its intergrated graphic just last week, and the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player (10.2.152.32) would freeze the video playback when playing 720p/1080p video on youtube. Downloaded the previous version of the Adobe Flash Player (10.1.102.64) solved the problem.

Downloaded those thanks. It didn't resolve the issue sadly. However, I've just discovered I can boot in full resolution using the vga port rather than the hdmi. As the HDMI port is working fine when booting into safe mode (and normal mode as long as I have the standard vga adaptor driver installed) does that give any hints as to the problem?
