Im not sure if this is the right section or it should be in the graphics part but here goes.

Recently built a system with the spec below:

Core i3-2120
8GB Corsair Vengeance
Asus P8H61-I ITX board
120GB SSD
Xonar D2x

Now i planned on getting a different Z68 board which would allow onboard nvidia graphics but i am really struggling with money at the moment so went with this cheaper board to tide me over.

The problem comes when i try to play an old OpenGL game called tribes. It really takes hardly anything to run but when i open it as soon as i click on anything the game laggs so hard the mouse only moves maybe once every 10 seconds. Iv tried it in software mode and this has no effect. Also in general browsing etc the screen may lag for a second or 2.

Im guessing this is down to the HD2000 but iv got the latest drives and no change.

Any ideas?

I'm running a HTPC with a Pentium G620T which has HD2000 graphics. i'm getting no lag at all in general desktop use. Serious Sam classic won't run in OpenGL mode though.

Have you got all the motherboard drivers installed? Are your temperatures ok?
