Hi guys,

Looking to build a decent i5 2500k Machine.

Don't need anything special, and not bothered about SLI (Not quite sure what it is to be fair).

Here's what I'm looking at so far.

BitFenix Merc Beta case - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-011-BX

ASUS P8Z68-V LE Intel Z68 mobo £109.99 - Can't find this one on OverClockers :( - https://www.****.co.uk/Products/Com...DDR3+PCI-Express+Motherboard+?productId=45527

OCZ ZG 550W PowerSupply - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-055-OC

Intel i5 2500k Processor - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-360-IN

I already have a 9800GT Graphics Card whicnh i will be using for now, looking to upgrade in a couple of months when more funds become available!

Have a HDD, DVD-RW Drive etc too, and will buy an SSD to boot from in future.

Can anyone tell me if I can do better with any of the parts, of ir the build looks OK?
My budget for the parts listed is £400.

Thanks,

Yeah sorry for linking another website, just couldn't find the same board here :(

Is Gigabyte anygood? Was looking at going with an ASUS

Gigabyte are good; thats Z68 board for undr £100 is very popular for many reason; and deserves to be popular. All round good maker.

sli(nvidia) and crossfire(ati/amd) are when you have 2/more graphics cards, if you're not planning on going sli or gtx580(or similar) then the 550w should be enough(tho having some extra 'legroom' for overclocking, future upgrades can't hurt going with 650w).

if you go with 550w the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-118-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

650w http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-117-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

oh and you'll need ram unless you have ddr3 ram from your current system. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-311-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

Depends on the cpu cooler being used, as some of the heatsinks could inter fear with larger cpu coolers.
