Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone had any information regarding the I5/1155 and initial pricing, performance and possible release dates?

I'm just trying to find information on the I5 series and the information that i can find on google is conflincting, some sites say Q3 of 2009 others say nothing, their is also no information on pricing or the processors themselves, though it seems that their are already some I5 P55 motherboards almost ready for mass production (MSI being one) though i did see one processor that was clocked at 2.13Ghz and their seems to be a number of sockets coming out all at once ranging from 1155 to 1567 which is puzzling because i would'nt have thought that intel would have released several different sockets all at once.

I'm just left a bit baffled really as to why intel would release inferior hardware like the I5 several months after the I7 has been on the market. Is anyone here considering an I5 upgrade? If so, why?

what is the Clarksdale? One of the sites that i have looked at says that it will have a GPU built into the Processor die which will not be supported by the I7 series and be one of intels first 32nm based processors, so (stupid question time) will that mean that we will no longer need traditional graphics cards? If that is what i believe it to mean then i think that i will hold off from upgrading the I7 if the GPU/CPU is what i think it is.
