Recently ordered an i7 14700K to replace my current 12600K. I have a Gigabyte Z790 Auros Pro X motherboard and given the issues intel has had with 13th/14th gen chips - just wondered what settings i should update in the BIOS? - is it just a case of ensuring Intel defaults are selected? - my motherboard is already on the latest F7 BIOS which includes the latest microcode update (0x12F).

Just trying to ensure i have the right settings dialled in from the start! - any help or advice would be great! :)

I believe Intel considers that there are 4 distinct issues.

If you choose the Intel profile the motherboard makes available, then it configures your board to Intel's recommended settings, which is supposed to address boards that did not follow them and were too aggressive with the CPU.

The other 3 issues, were addressed by the microcode, which the latest BIOS will have fixed (in theory).

I lost track at some point, but I think Intel then released another (supposed to be final) update, which is the microcode that you have.
