How high can you get your NB frequency to go stulid and at what volts.
I will confirm how high later, but I know it does 47x cache without any voltage increase.

Your bios must have a overvolt set for your uncore to be able to do that at default speeds otherwise your telling porkies.
cause no way anyone on the planet could get 47x uncore @1.1v
I don't adjust any ring cache voltages for 47X.
Not saying you do but i bet your board on auto vring is spitting out something stupid for 4.7ghz uncore stability.
would be surprised if it wasn't, in fact what is your ring voltage @, @ 4.7uncore ?
See!!! 47X ring with autoV, it is possible.
Is that Vrin safe to use?

He says 2.4 on air is ok.
Ok you may have just found out for me why i need insaine ring voltage to get any uncore past 4.6 stable
VRIN is the key : your running 1.220v and i was running 1.900v
just changed it and set auto on vring and my system is stable at auto vring and 4.7 uncore
------------------------------------------
check it out WOOOOT
My temps have jumped up though with higher vrin but there pretty ok still.
i need to find out if 1.220v is safe for 24/7 or is my chip going to explode
as when i use prime95 or ibt ect the vrin voltage flickers between 1.220v-1.230v, hmmmmm
need to do some research,,, in the mean time check this out guys
Well, had system 8 hours stable at 4.8/1.35v in aida stability test, but failed first test of cinebench.
Upped the switch rates to max, and set vrin llc from high to turbo and was passing cinebench - but failed real bench.
Upped the vrin from 1.9 to 2.0, and looking good for real bench.
Guess it's important to keep in mind there is more to getting these guys stable at higher clocks than just upping the vcore.
I WILL have this chip running 24/7 at 4.8! I don't know why so determined, but meh.
Worth saying I left off playing with cpu clocks until I was sure I had memory stable at 2400.
Not touching uncore until I am sure I am stable where I am.
Must remember to note down my settings in case board bios plays silly buggers again with me.
So it sounds like neither of you have read the Z97 overclocking guide?
http://www.overclock.net/t/1490835/the-gigabyte-z97x-overclocking-guide
And are trying some "guess work" overclocking.
And eyetrip are you back to using the Gigabyte board now?
