it does also have to be mentioned that most of these single core high mhz attempts only have to boot in to windows long enough to get a CPU-Z validation, they don't have to be stable enough to actually run any kind of stress test or benchmark

Well if you'd disable most of the core then you wouldn't be expecting high benchmark score anyways.

I'm not sure i get the point of these exercises but each to their own i guess?! To be fair there are a lot of people doing a lot of perceived pointless things around the world so meh..
