mainboard: asus p6t deluxe v2 (lastest bios)
6gb ram
noctua cpu cooler
intel i7 920

I have increased the bus clock to 150mhz everything else is set to auto and i have achieved around 3.00ghz stable

I want to go 175mhz

My board doesnt have x8, x10 etc. but 2 options 800mhz and 1066mhz. (My ram is 1600mhz) What option.
Do i need to change the uncore frequency and the qpi frequency
What is the uncore frequency.

The Qpi/dram- needs to 1.2v and vcore needs to be 1.2. (Dont want it changing when at auto)

Im really confused. I would like to overclock to 3.5 but i am lost at the point of frequencies. I understand how to change the voltages.

To avoid any unexpected surprises during overclocking, we disabled EIST and Turbo Boost technologies and locked the CPU multiplier at 20x – the default setting for Core i7-920 with 2.66GHz nominal clock speed. We set 8x multiplier for the memory. Therefore, since Uncore frequency should be at least twice as high as the memory frequency, we used 16x multiplier for it. To get the desired QPI frequency setting, we used the lowest available multiplier of 18x

QPI and PCI Express - If you want stability at overclocked levels, be sure to kick down your QPI speed (which is also derived from the reference clock) to its lowest multiplier, typically labeled 4.8 GT/s (though you can try other setting to reach a top QPI speed with stability), in order to keep this area in check in an overclocked scenario. If your motherboard lets you, manually set the PCI Express clock to 100 MHz as well.

Thanks for any help

The RAM clock speed is actually shown rather than just the multipliers so that's straight forward. Pick the clock speed closest to, but not above, 1600MHz. Then be sure to set the "DRAM Voltage" to whatever your RAM is rated to run at.

As for the QPI multiplier, just set it to the lowest available. The lowest value with a high BCLK is still higher than the default value at stock. I've never changed the Uncore multiplier, I don't even remember what it's called on the P6T Deluxe V2.
