Had a pre-built pc from overclockers for a while now, out of interest did a temp test, intel i7 920 @ 4ghz, it was running from about 75-83c. Do you reckon that's too hot? When I spoke to overclockers they said it was fine, but seemed quite warm to me for a cpu?

This is when doing a stress test by the way.

Opinions?

Hi, how long have you had the PC, when was the last time you gave it a spring clean, if its been a while the dust building up in your PC ie:- on your CPU cooler, filters, etc can add a couple of degree's to your temps. Get your self a can of compressed air + a small brush, dust everything off and give everything a good going over with the air can, job sorted. :)

Voltage looks a bit high, but then each chip can vary in what it needs. What cooler and fans are you using? The temps are a bit higher than most, but still safe enough. I suspect though, that you could possibly get away with lower voltage.

voltage requirements for bloomfield cpus have generally increased a lot recently. the latter batches have all needed a lot more voltage [sweeping generalisation that applies to 99% of the cpus]

op
temperatures look ok there :)
