Hi there

Intel are not satisfied with taking the performance crown from AMD but have now gone even further. Some old chips are back but now at stupidly low prices.

See our Intel section:-
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Intel_CPUs.html

Intel Core 2 DUO - No Price drops!
Intel Pentium 4 Dual Core - Large price drops and new 915 and 945 SKU's, only difference is lack of VT technology which makes no difference to performance and the P4 820 is back at half price!
Intel Pentium 4 - Intel P4 531 and 541 are back along with 524 at basically Celeron prices.

I really think Intel have smacked AMD right in the gonads this time round by smashing them up on all fronts.

These prices make CPU's real bargains and its great because its made AMD do all their price drops which are now active on OcUK. :)

lol 3.4 presler for under 150, phase change cooling, that would absolutely rip, netburst or not, regardless of it being a bad design, at that speed it would be very nippy, so thats a stonking bargain, would choose that ANYDAY over 3800+ and its cheaper

thing is though with being 65nm, with good air cooling i reckon that presler would still reach high clocks

Serverr i think

Sweet just in time as we have been giving 10MB on 2 lines by tellywest to the house due to massive misatke so time to build a fast download server

Pressler for £105? I have an Asus P5P800SE on it's way to me which was going to have an 805 in it for cheap dual core. Does anyone now if this mobo will take a Pressler? Will it overclock much since the Pressler's FSB is 800 already?

Love to see if that overclocked was faster in games than a screaming Venice as I have one of these and an MSI Neo2Plat just fell at my front door :)
