Hi
I ordered a Z370 5Ghz bundle that was delivered earlier this week. I got round to using it this weekend.
Asus Z370 Maximus hero
Intel LAN I219-V

The LAN port doesn't seem to be working on the motherboard. I cant get the drivers installed :(

It is enabled in the bios.
Lights are working on the port - I see two lights, one above that blinks orange. One below that is steady and red/orange.
  1. Trying the bundled driver cd with the motherboard reports a successful install but that installs everything except the LAN driver.
  2. Trying the lan driver exe directly from the asus disk doesn't work. The installer sits for ages on the "installing network drivers" dialog and eventually times out and says something like "There are no adapters on this computer"
  3. Going through device manager and installing the driver manually also doesn't work. The installer times out with the same message.
  4. Getting the latest driver from the intel site also does the same thing.
Tried to reinstall windows several times (albiet from the same source - my bootable usb drive, made today with the media creation tool)

Is there anything else i can try?

Thanks

Ok... it seems that running the Intel LAN driver installer 7 times did the trick...
mind blown..
it looks ok for now i guess, thanks! :)

Feel stupid, confused and relieved all at the same time..
