Hi,
I've just picked up a D34010WYK (Haswell i3) NUC and am having issues getting it to fire up. I bought a 60gb Kingston mSATA SSD and 1x 4gb of Corsair Vengance DDR3-1600 RAM, which didn't work as it's 1.5v and the NUC only supports 1.35v. I then tried RAM from my laptop that I know works, is 1.35v, 1333mhz and very close in spec to that recommended on Intel's site.
The 1.5v RAM gave three flashing lights on startup (indicates memory error) - fair enough. The 1.35v RAM sounds like it's getting further down the chain, the power light doesn't flash and the fan varies speed during what is clearly some sort of start up process. But there's nothing coming from the HDMI output (have tried both into my Dell PC screen and my Samsung TV via a mini HDMI to HDMI adaptor).
Does anyone know what might be causing this? I haven't tried to boot anything yet but was assuming I'd at least see some sort of BIOS screen? Could it be that the initial boot screen is at a resolution that my monitors don't support?
Any thoughts on things to try? CMOS reset? SSD out? Try booting something? Any known issues or could it be DOA?
Cheers!
