Yes but this has a warranty and is a HP Pavillion, i don't trust someone just knocking things up with parts, it never feels right..

Build it yourself :)

Most if the parts will have a 3 year warranty and the memory has lifetime warranty majority of time.

Well why did you ask then? That HP will be full of generic parts. By all means buy it, but I assume you know this is a forums full of self-builders who would never recommend that set-up.

You are always better building you're own

You get to choose quality long lasting parts. Even Dell warranty expects you to install hard drives by yourself. That isn't much different to putting the whole lot together. Can usually get superior system for the same price.

I came up with this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-2120 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £99.95
1 x MSI GeForce GTX 650 OC Power Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £95.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £83.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £81.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) £43.99
1 x Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £39.98
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 430W V2 '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020046) £32.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £538.85 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Slightly more but you get what you pay for. I chose the Antec 300 case because it's so easy to install a build into it. You could opt for a cheaper case, cheaper ram, cheaper gpu, maybe even get a students copy of windows.

I would rather trust a PC I built myself, most of the prebuilt ones like Dell, HP, etc seems to die early for me... maybe it's actually a way for them to make you buy more PCs from them...

And let's not forget all that bloatware they install :p.

That's what HP do... lol -They pick the cheapest nastiest components and then wack it together into a cheap case, add £200+ to the value and sell it.

Or you could take advice from PC Enthusiasts here at Overclockers and end up with a £500 system that will last you years, come with all the warranties, and the main part.... will perform infinitely better!

EDIT: Here you go... slightly over £500 but certainly better than the HP Pavilion... and you get a fairly modern game too... Farcry 3!
