6gb of ram is enough.

you dont really need a sound card, the onboard Intel HD audio is excellent, and you dont need that extreme overclockers motherboard.

yer what a plank i did it twice cheers what about this and will the ram fit and do i need a bigger power suply.

whats this pc to be used for because that cpu is a bit EXTREME!!!

and you dont need a bigger psu, the power consumption of these new cards is good.

i was trying to go for future proofing as i have about 2k to spend, i want it for hardcore gaming, online and not and to watch blueray's on 1080p tv which is what it will be plugged into. do you think i am spending to much cash, thing is i dont wanna regret it.

your spending to much money.

its as futureproof as the 980x cpu you wanted, the new range of Intel sandybridge cpus and motherboards will be out next year, and the current i7 stuff wont be compatible, so just use the £590 to upgrade when that is released(or you may just find that the i7 930cpu is well fast enough anyway and keep it for quite a few years)

The SSD is used to run your OS and favorite games and APP's from, its so much faster than a harddrive.
