Intel or Nvidia???

I am building a PC around an Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700 CPU & am currently trying to decide on whether to buy a Motherboard with an Intel or Nvidia chipset.

Will I gain any performance advantages if I stick to an Intel chipset or is it irrelevant?

There is no real performance difference between either of the camps, just get a board with the features you want.

Which Intel & Nvidia board do you recommend for gaming?

Depends, whats your budget? Do intend to overclock? What GFX card are you getting & do you have plans to go fo a dual gfx card setup? Do you have any requirements (eg no. of PATA connections, no. of SATA connections, usb, firewire, eSATA, parallel/serial port, do u want RAID, etc). If you can give me more insight to what you looking for, I can help.

Well I am basing it around a Quad processor & a GTX8800 graphics card.
