Intel or Ryzen

OK I am upgrading from an i7 4770K
I like the Ryzen 5950, but would I be better sticking to intel and what is the equivalent?
Around £500 budget

I like the look of the 5950 and 5900
My 4770K is hitting mid 80 degrees now and cooling seems to be less than it was. The whole thing is falling apart.

yeah I have looked at the B550s and they look good

Always wanted to water cool but a little nervous that if it leaks

think I will give water cooling a miss its too much expense and inconvenience
