Intel P35 Chipset updates

Hi,

I have a Abit IP35 Pro - P35 chipset motherboard, I've recently installed W8.1 on it, all fine, but it's using standard Microsoft drivers for all the chipset stuff, sata etc etc etc and they are from 2006.

I downloaded Intel® Chipset Device Software which updates the INF? but I can't actually find the series 3 (which the p35 chipset is part of) drivers. It didn't update any drivers when I installed it.

Windows update didn't find any changes.

Where am I going wrong?

I installed this

But it doesn't actually install any of the chipset drivers

Windows probably has all the needed drivers built in so nothing to download/update.

even though they are really out of date? 2006, there's been updates in the years shortly after that surely?
