I've bought another HSF for a Socket 478 mobo but it is different to the one on my existing mobo which I know was also an Intel HSF.
The new one has a circular copper(?) contact point with the CPU which just covers it while my original one is an aluminium material which completely covers the CPU. Looks to me like the new one may be more efficient but wondered if any of you guys had experience of them?? Is it a 478 HSF??
