Hi, I have the above chip and here is my current overclock which is ~55c prime95 (voltage goes up to 1.34 when idle):

My specs are as follows:
Gigabyte P31-DS3L
4gb 1066mhz OCZ Gold
Coolermaster Hyper TX2

My chip had a VID of 1.28 which I believe is very high for this chip. I have tried 3.8ghz but I have not yet got it prime95 stable and I have been up to 1.38 actual volts.

What suggestions do you have for overclocking, can I go even higher volts to try and get 3.8ghz? The reason I purchased this particular chip was because I believed 3.8ghz was supposed to be a easy overclock.

I was also considering selling this chip and buying another in the hope I got a lower VID?

Thanks for the advice guys, some more reading suggests I have got an average chip. Might try it out in a buddies P35 board and see what I get.
