Looks like the Kaby Lake Pentium is a 2 core / 4 thread chip with a 3.8 Ghz clock speed. Not to shabby at all. If this comes in at circa £50 like previous Pentiums this could the best budget CPU for years.

Intel Pentium G4620: A new budget CPU king?

The Intel Pentium G4560 could be the pick of the Kaby Lake bunch for bang for buck. £65 for 3.5Ghz and hyper threading 2/4 cores/threads. This seems the only well priced chip out the entire Kaby Lake line up. Might be ideal for a budget build. AMD might also offer something in this segment soon..

Surprised how capable this chip is. Went into existing mobo no problem. Tried a few games so far all worked fine.
I will be pairing this chip with a GTX 750 Ti for a budget gaming build.

Weird this, it's pretty nippy around desktop, browsing, gaming etc. Honestly can't tell difference between this or higher end chips so far. I bet if I ran FPS counter I have taken a hit but without that I can't tell xD
No it's not for me, I'm putting this together for someone else. But using it myself until Ryzen drops in a few weeks. Then I'll be passing it on.
I'm looking at building a Ryzen setup with some faster DDR4 and either GTX 1080 Ti or AMD VEGA. Whole new system. Good lil stop gap this is though. Can't fault this chip, especially that price.
If it doesn't perform I'll have no choice but to go X99 xD
Actually I would most likely wait for the Kaby Lake refresh late summer.
Ryzen does, urm will perform though. Have some faith.

It literally copes with all my games combined with a 750 Ti @ 1080P. I dunno why I go so high end tbh. £65, confused...

Can def vouch for the chip. I'm still waiting for it to fail at something. So far has impressed me. Was playing Tomb Raider and Battlefront on Pentium / GTX 750 Ti earlier thinking this should not be possible
