Intel Performance Tuning Protection Plan

indeed for £18 you can potentially get a new CPU if you want to whack silly volts into the thing. but the terms and condition stipulates that this cover will only work if your CPU fails under the specified parameter. so maybe overvolting won't qualify.
 
Unless you burn the pins or leave physical damage they have no way of knowing, there's a few people on overclock.net who've used it after killing expensive chips like 5960x's with high voltage.
