$266 USD is 137.711GBP (from XE). So we may be looking at a 'Quad' cored CPU for ~£250 maybe?

Been looking around at some prices etc. What I have come up with. All Q3 stuff by the way, cos its around my birthday.

Currently

Core 2 Duo e6400 = $222.00 USD (from well known US site) Which is around £113 using XE currency convertor.

Core 2 Duo e6400 = £146.86 inc VAT from OcUK

Soon

So if the E6850 and Q6600 are $266 USD (~£135 using XE convertor) we should be looking at those chips for less than £200. :eek: :D

Since a $222.00 USD chip is £145. :)

Both Q6600 and E6850 looks like a bargin, unless Intel are getting scared of AMD and Barcelona, thats why they are dropping prices.

Plus this means Penryn prices should be pretty cheap aswell. :)
