Ive saw it mentioned on a few other sites that Intel has dropped there prices of there CPU's over in the US do you think the prices will drop over here?

Intel haven't officially dropped prices? But if you are a retailer it might be worth cutting in preparation of one as you might have to sell them at even lower prices.

Intel are going to be in a pickle now with their prices on the HEDT platform and it is entirely their own fault. Last year instead of replacing the 5930k with an 8 core BW-E and the 5960x with a 10 core they kept the tiers the same and just added the 10 core at a ridiculous halo price.

If they are smart they'll drop a 10 core in just below the current 6900k price point and shift the rest down. As for the Kabylake-X, it sounds utterly pointless. Who would spend a fortune on LGA2066 and then buy a 4 core dual channel CPU?

No intel has not dropped the prices.

WTFTech (how I will call them from now on), made the article because 1 retailer in US decided to discount the Intel CPUs. as they do every quarter for few weeks.
The prices are as normal on other retailers for months eg 6900K with the "price cuts" $1000. But that's the price everyone else sells worldwid months noth

So a click bait article it is for nothing.
