I purchased an intel pro1000gt for my WHS server about 10 months ago after having some issues with data transfer/streaming and someone suggested trying it so I saved my pennies and ran the risk and to be quite frank it appears to of solved the problem *touch wood*....

However iirc that person informed me they were superb for gaming and just general use as they "offload all network connections to its own processor and not to your cpu" ? now I don't have enough for a bigfoot nor would I buy a bigfoot, but I have enough for a pro1000gt and was hoping someone can give me indication whether to even bother taking the leap or not and give the birdie to my realtek :)

I dont want to pull my pro1000gt out of my whs as its always in use :)
