Intel quad core socket type?

Might seem like an obvious question but - Are Intel quad core CPU's the same socket type (775) as the Dual Core CPU's?

Yup... there is not going to be a socket change untill next year

Yes, Same socket type.. but obviously read specs exactly cos not all mobo's can take a Quad even though they have the same socket (775)

Yep, nearly all socket 775 mobos will take a quad. Check with ure mobo manufacturer for bios updates to see if they can take a quad to.
