hi, what is the best way to do benchmarks for the QuickSync? is it just run something like MediaEspresso with it on and time it, then run it again with it off? or is there some form of software or output file.

Thats kind of how I did it.

Selected a few different vids of different sizes and file types.

Ran it a few times using just the CPU, then the same number of times with Nvidia CUDA selected (a Nvidia logo appears in Media espresso) then the same using the Intel Quicksync/Lucid Virtu option (again a different Intel logo appears)

Then assumed the average time from the multiple runs.

cheers for that :) will do some MVP tests tonight.

I disable CUDA in NVCPL don't I not in Media Espresso?

Depends if you want to compare Quicksync vs your GXT560?

I saw mixed results using them with the CPU being obviously slower.

was going to do a cuda off mvp off, cuda off mvp on, cuda on mvp off, cuda on mvp on tests. would 3 runs be enough of each to get an average?

I did just three, but then I haven't got much patience to sit and watch something bore me to death:D
