Hey all,
You could probably write what I know about CPU's on the back of your hand.
Just wondering, what do I need to take into consideration for a new CPU, as mine always seem to be failing for new games on can you run it / recommended spec.

Do different CPU's fit different motherboards?.
I built this pc roughly six years ago or so, but it was just a one off and cant remember for the life of me.
Hoping to upgrade to an I7, but i've seen I5's on here more expensive?

Wouldnt mind spending roughly £250-£300 ?

Just thought id add, i mainly play total war games and hoping to upgrade this in time for Three Kingdoms

Thanks Kelt.
I dont currently need a new psu, as i'm running an 800w as it stands.
If I were to want to do a build around a Ryzen 7 2700x, what motherboard and ram would you recommend? (16GB). Sorry if I seem lazy, i'm not - its just i'm so out of touch with cpu building

Hmm, if the new Ryzen gen is a few weeks away I may sit tight and wait to see what kind of prices they’re coming out at.

I’ve always had intel chips in all of my past pc’s, so AMD is abit of a grey area for me.
