Looks like boards featuring this new chipset are starting to pop up on the web review circuit, not seen any performance previews yet myself but I'm sure there will be some floating about soon . . . .

damn that M3F looks awesome possibly better looking than the M2F

i hope they bring out a nice looking 1366 board the rampage ii looks like hell imo

i love the fact that you can plug your netbook or notebook in and tune the overclock like you can with car! the number of powerphases seems a little ridiculous thou.

Wow looks like a sweet board...

Just unfortunate it will probably be let down by Asus' rubbish chipset quality/programming...

Just wait til it comes to market... with half the power stages, blue instead of red DIMMs and fake copper heatsinks...

Nice to see they've moved the MB reset and power swictehs to the backplate, althought I'll bet some folks reset in error trying to plug in a usb from time to time. Its much more accessible than the internal resets on the P6T's.

Would be very nice if they fixed the 'NB' heatsink blocking the top 1x slot. You cant even get Asus own audio riser card in there.

Also as nice as it looks, the mosfet heatsinks seem a bit weedy? And only one RJ45?

Exactly why it's a bad idea IMO. If you're needing the on-board resets you're likely to have your PC in bits trouble shooting anyway, otherwise just use the ones on the front of your case like you normally would. Asking for lots of unwanted resets putting it there.

aside from "p55 will be the mainstream, i7 will be enthusiast" what's the main difference with lynnfield vs i7

toying with the idea of holding off upgrading my q6600 etc, just wanting to know what to expect of this chip.

Dual channel DDR3 vs Triple channel DDR3.

Apparently slightly less performance with the lynnfield, but not much.
