Intel® Processor Graphics 3000

I am using the inbuilt graphics card for now as my gtx460 blew up the other day. Now I have installed the latest driver from intel but when I open CPUZ and GPUZ, they both show I have Intel® Processor Graphics 2000 (GT2) instead of Intel® Processor Graphics 3000 (GT2+).

Can anyone help please.

I thought the 3000 was only in the i7 2600k~2700k?

Its also on the i5 2500k

2600k has higher gpu clock speeds, so it may be gt2 instead of gt2+ for the 2500k

2500k/850mhz/1.1ghz
2600k/850mhz/1.35ghz

mate you have the HD3000 on your CPU, the software doesnt show it up correctly and for some reason the GT2 means HD3000 in CPU-Z world......its just the way the programs been written and you have nothing to worry about.

Quick check if your running Windows 7

Right click on desktop -
Cick on screen resolution -
advanced settings -
Choose adapter tab

look alongside adapter string as it will say : intel HD graphics 3000

My CPU-Z is reporting the same thing, also if anyone cares, the HD3000 is also found in a few other CPUs besides the "K" versions.

I've got my i3 2120 up and running today, CPUZ reports Intel® Processor Graphics 1000 (GT1).
