Hi. Does enabling intel rapid start technology improve gaming. I cant install the driver on windows 10 but on my mother board I can enable it but still cant install the driver. My mother board is a H61M-K. I have a 144hz monitor and never been able to get steady frames even when set FPS in Asus GPU tweak. I have a Asus Strix 970 GTX graphic card.
Since enabling Intel rapid start technology in my bios this morning I have notice no texture shimmering. I have been playing Far Cry 4 and it looked like the textures where always over lapping in front of me but since turning this on that's gone. I still get the shimmering in the distance but that's improved. I use to get jaggys close up when stood still but now that has gone too. In Far cry 4 I can have everything to ultra including shadows as don't have that set to soft shadows as that does cripple frames.
I have set my frames in GPU Tweak 2 to 150 and 144hz in NVidia and it doesn't get below 50 but average 70 frames.
So why cant I install the driver but can enable it in bios and it improves performance in games. Windows 10 64bit.
Thanks for any feed back...
