After pushing AMD in a tight little dark corner with the new 1333 FSB processors and a few price cuts Intel is planning to again put pressure on its rival. After securing the high-end and mid-range sections Intel is going to try and make its low-end processors just as appealing by adjusting a few prices and by releasing one new CPU.
On August 26 Intel will unveil and introduce the E2180 which is going to take the $87 price tag from the E2160 which will go down to $77. The E2180 features two cores running at 2.0 GHz, a 800 MHz FSB and 1 MB of L2 cache.
Going lower still, the Celeron 430 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 512kB L2 cache) will go from $50 to $45 while the Celeron 420 will go from $40 to $35. And another K.O. from the blue leaping lizards.
Now surely Gibbo cant claim OCUK have already implemented these drops![Stick Out Tongue :p :p](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/tongue.gif)
