For instance, a i5-4430S is apparently exactly the same as a i5-4430 except it has its multicore frequency lowered. Is it possible to get the S processors to work at full speed? Can't I just up the frequency and then bam everything is fine? ;)

The S mainly means low volts and lower tdp and usually lower clock speed

Unlike the K version, the multiplier it LOCKED so overclocking has to be done directly from the bus... and it limited to a couple of 100mhz's at most.

The use less power, so they are good for HTPC systems and LOW END gaming systems, plus don't need the cooling power of a tower cooler or AIO cooler, so the stock cooler is good enoigh.

You can clock say an i5 S from 3ghz to 3.3/3.4ghz, but thats at most. When overclocking them, the RAM gets overclocked as well.

Its risky, so I wouldn't bother with clocking them.

SO NO... BAM is not fine.
