intel software and drivers..

just did a fresh reinstall, and seem to have a lot less intel stuff loading at start up and in installed programs.

just wondering if i need anything else, or is it mainly optional stuff?

Count yourself lucky - this is a good thing.

If Windows needs something, it will download it. It's good like that.

Installing the chipset drivers and Intel RSTe driver gave me better performance from my SSD.

yeah chucked the chipset drivers one. i remember looking in strartup last week and having loads of intel stuff loading. oh well it seems to work ok
