Hi Everybody first post here.
I recently got my Ultima Tyrannosaur from OCUK, its very nice, powerful and well put together by the team.

I did not go for any extras, just the base system. Today I read about Intel Smart Response tech, so I thought Id try it out.

The System came with a Gigabyte GAz68x-UD4-B3 Motherboard.
I cant for the life of me get this mob to play ball at all with this Intel Response stuff.

I tried the Gigabyte EZ-Response utility and all that happens is my PC reboots then tells me I have no boot disk. I then have to put the bios back to IDE. I did install it as IDE, but he gigabyte until is supposed to cover that however it does not work at all. Maybe an RMA job?

Please see the video here of the app I am talking about:

Sorry Guys I'm not wet behind the ears on this stuff, but Ive been at this all day and IM tired 4+ windows 7 installs etc.

I am running bios F8. Has anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

Jason

Oh come on, im not that silly I have a ocz vertex 3 60gb in the system.
I bought it yesterday to try this out.

So are you trying to set up the SRT in the BIOS?
What I did was install windows on the HDD in Raid mode. Then once its installed and windows recognises both drives, just set up SRT from the software.

Ok thanks guys for the replys, but the gigabyte tool I posted a video of says you can be on ide mode and you just "Hit the button" but its no worky for me and i would like to know why if possible.

Thanks Guys.

Post a link to the instructions you're following.

All the information I've seen on SRT said you needed to be in RAID mode.

Hi I am using this video as the instructions:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHhCIv8GdRg

I have tried to install in RAID MODE but I cant see how that can work with a single disk, as the Intel guide I read said do not connect the SSD until the OS has been installed!

In any case I went ahead and Installed the OS with the BIOS in raid mode and when the system rebooted after the initial OS install all I got was "BootMGr" is missing after the BIOS POST.

Freaky stuff going on, I did check the boot disk priority etc all was good. I don't get this? I wonder if the Board is OK. I am running BIOS version F8.

This should not be so painful :(

Using the Gigabyte software I posted in the video, is not good. It does set the bios to raid, but I get the "BOOTMGR IS MISSING. PRESSS CRTL ALT DEL To RESTART"

I am going to try it again at some point with another DISK I have, I cant be arsed to keep re-installing win 7, ive done it 5 times this Sataurday.

Other than this however Ultima Tyrannosaur is a beast of a PC. Playing GTAIV maxed is so nice.
