Intel SSD serial confusion (please help)

Basically I've got an Intel SSD in which the serial does not match the serial on the box. Having a bit of a search online and it seems I'm not the only one effected. I'm concerned as this may deny me a potential warranty should I require one.

Can I ask any owner of an Intel SSD, especially those with 80GB X25-M drives to compare the serial number on your physical SSD with that of the box. Mine was NOT an OEM version and came with a bracket, screws, CD and stickers.

Are the Intel drives even available in the UK? Perhaps that's why no one here can help.

Mine did too, the X25-M seems different.

Serial on the retail box (blue) does not match the serial on the label of the drive

Been available for ages...

Try contacting Intel about it. Might help you...

I plan on doing that today, it's just I hate being on hold -_-
