Intel Stock Coolers - Good?

I'm getting either an E2200 soon, or the E4500, and plan to clock it to around 3Ghz, give or take.

Basically, will the stock cooler handle this, or is a better cooler a must?

3 gig.... JUST. Personally I'd invest in an AC7 Pro to be sure. They are cheap and can handle dual core chips nicely.

Basically, once I have bought everything else, I will have enough for either a new cooler, and a new dvd drive, as mine's on it's way out. (Still have a spare cd drive for the basics).

Yes thats it, its an excellent cooler for dual cores and often comes up in OCUK's deal of the week

A better cooler isnt a very big investment compared to the performance you gain from the OC, so i personally wouldnt use the stock.

I had 3.4Ghz Stable on my Q6600 with stock cooler (Ran a tad hot, but nothing that could permanently damage the CPU)
