My old E4500 and E8400 cpu's came with a 3cm heatsink and a 12V, 0.2A fan, my Celeron G540 has a 1.5cm heatsink and a 12V, 0.17A fan. I have just had a look at my new i5 6600 and was surprised that the heatsink and fan are the same as on the G540. I know all the CPU's are 65watt but i was expecting a much meatier cooler on the i5. Would there be any benefit using the older cooler on the new i5?
