Intel suck lollipops

Amazing, my new Haswell setup is next to worthless to me. In their wisdom intel removed all virtualisation making WP8 dev impossible using the phone emulator. Probably to push sales of ivy-e etc. to devs who need this function.

the 4770k, yes its in the bios but not on the cpu. Its appears to be in lower end cpus but not the top one. I better saving for ivy-e or haswell-e.

I'm guessing theyre crippling the fastest cpu so that those most likely to want speed AND virtualisation need to buy the enthusiast systems.

Nah, i could run my i920 at 4ghz and visualization was fine. I'd go with intel not wanting to cannibalize sales of higher end cpus.

As preview mobo screenshots and videos showed virtualisation menus i foolishly assumed it was actually there.

khazzer: yes, it all gives the impression that its there on the 4770k...but the windows phone 8 emulator requires it and it crashes every time cos it cant find it. I got lumia920, testing on actual hardware is fine.
