Hi all,

I'm due to be building a system soon, and I have a Core 2 T7100 to use up. However,I can't seem to find any motherboards that support this cpu? I've tried Asus and the cpu isn't even in their selection list, MSI don't seem to be much help either...

The machine is only going to be used for basic internet and word processing, so nothing major, but does anyone know of any good ones? I refuse to believe that the cpu has no use in any machines apart from laptops!

Thanks in advance!

It's a Core2Extreme mobile CPU, so you need to be looking at micro-systems eg. AOpen Mini PC MP965-DR as they are desined around mobile CPU technology. It could be the basis of a really quick micro-system.

where on earth did you get it from? if you want a desktop i suggest a core2duo or quad.

You can buy them freely from most (r)etailers. They are sold for people who want to build their own laptop or micro-PC.
