intel turbo boost technology monitor?

i know this is a silly question but i have only just installed the intel turbo boost technology monitor which seems to like starting at startup and showing me it overclocking my cpu which is fine.

what i want to know is, do i have to run this monitor at boot for it to use the turbo boost or can i set it to not run at startup and it will still work the same?

it the minitor just showing me what its doing, but it will still work even if i dont run it?

the gadget from v1.1 is absolute pap btw, was showing my laptop running at 2ghz all the time (whilst correctly showing it ramping up when needed), however most other cpu speed programs show it clocking down correctly to lower speeds.

i didnt like v2 as it was a program that wanted to be run all the time, pfft! not sure if it shows correct speeds or not though..
