Intel turbo memory console

Thats the turbo cache for vista right?

On my laptop it doesn't seem to be working its telling me that it cannot be used because it encountrd a problem... "this device can't start"

Any help pls i don't know anything about turbo cache

So the 1gb intel turbo cache is just for power consumption and it doesnt seem to improve performance? Bdw i dont think that my intel 1gb turbo cahce is working since i have none of the options high lighted in it's panel.

Doesnt intel turbo cahce run vista on it?

My vista seems to take something about 700mb out of 2gb ram ...shouldnt it be a lot lower since i have a 1gb turbo cahce?

i dont know nothing about turbo cache but i do know when i used vista the hard drive was pretty much in constant use(not full speed) and thats with 2gig ram.

Vista prefetches a lot, all the time, which is probably why your harddrive is used

For now the performance on Turbo Memory sucks, but it does give a slight increase in battery time i believe

Yeh do u know any bios commands i can write in to see if the turbo cahce is working or not?? it's still telling me that it cant load the device !

if its saying it cant load the device then it probably cant.....check under device manager to see if its working or not.

if not then check the website of the manufacturer for updated vista drivers

Well my drivers are up to date since turbo cache is made to work for vista and my laptop is made for vista only

its is saying Couldnt load device "error 10" under the device manager

You need an add in card which is a mini PCI-E form factor. Your laptop BIOS also need to support the device apparently. Just search for Intel Turbo Memory and you will find loads of stuff on the subject.

Intel has a tool you can download which allows you to enable/disable the card - assuming you have it installed of course.

I have ordered a card to install in my new laptop.

Not even from were i bought it they dont know how to get it to work,still waiting for information from were they order them
