Intel UHD ...

Hi,

I'm hoping there's a good answer to this problem.. I bought a small little mini-PC just for work use, it's quite and requires little power so ideal for working all day on. However, my gaming monitor only runs 4k at 75Hz, where as it seems the Intel UHD is inly running at 60Hz.. As a result, the resolution s defaulting to 2k whic is a bit annoying.

I'm wondering if there is anyway I can get this to run at at 75Hz to meet the minotr requirements. The screen shot below says maximum of 120. The mini PC only has HDMI, and I'm using the high speed versions which I have tested on my main PC.

Intel UHD GPUs can run at 4K via HDMI but they're usually limited to only 30Hz output, to go above 30Hz @ 4K you'll need to connect via Display Port with a HDMI to DP adapter rated for 4K 60Hz & above.

The monitor should still run at 4k/60hz though, rather than 2k @ 75hz.

Yeah, that's an ultrawide monitor, not 4k

4k in PC terms is 3840x2160 at 16:9 aspect ratio.

Don't know about Intel, but in the Nvidia drivers you can create custom screenmodes (maybe Intel has something similar?) and also, by changing the Output colour format from RGB to YCbCr 4:2:2 you can output a higher refresh rate from the GPU than you'd otherwise be able to (sacrificing some colour accuracy for refresh rate).
