Intel X38 Chipset drivers advice please.

Hi all

I need a little advice please.
I'm trying to find the correct, up to date Intel X38 chipset drivers for my Maximus Extreme motherboard for a clean Vista x64 install. Intel make it that confusing to what I actually need to download on there web site.
Can anyone tell me if X38 boards are part of the Intel Series 3 chipset family? Also are Intel drivers pretty universal on how many types of chipsets that they actually cover?

That's the latest one. Intels drivers cover a vast array of chipsets.

What's different about the INF driver files that seem to be listed a lot on the Intel site?
