Thanks I did not even see them bundles but it seems to be out of stock as well.

Would the Core i5 6400 be much slower then the 6600k?
Around £100 saving something got to be slower?

Is it dual-core or quad core it kind says both in the item description lol
Thanks.

It's a quad core. The reason it's so much cheaper is that it is not unlocked in the same way as the 6600k. The 6600K has the full overclocking potential available whereas the 6400 is not meant to be overclock able at all.

But they are unofficially overclockable by increasing the BLCK speed with certain motherboards.

The price difference is due to the premium Intel charge for unlocked CPUs and the motherboard being a bit more basic.

Plus the 6400 at 4.4ghz will be faster than the 6600K at 4.2ghz.

Nice one thank you for explaining it me.

It does seem like the best deal then for me and the 16GB back in stock now :D

Thanks I think I will be getting that Thursday.

Nice one. These is a chance that Intel will block the overclocking in future with an update but I imagine Ocuk will cover you in that event. They certainly did during the 3.5GB scandal.

However the big issue is that I don't think they have any haribo at the moment

That sucks if they did that I don't know what ocuk could do about that and I would stuck with not so great setup.

Going to have a think on it now thank you letting me know.

They'd probably refund you. They did for any 970 owners.

Or give instructions on how to not update. I doubt it will be made mandatory.

I think as long as you didn't update the bios it would be fine. I'd still personally go for a K chip though.

ok sounds ok but still unsure myself now lol.

Uther what would the main reason to take the 6600k over the normal one?
Myself right now would be less trouble later if some update happens.

Cheers.
