I thought it was time we needed a thread to collate information on the Z68 chipset. Launch is apparently May 8th:

The information I have read so far seem to point to it having the ability to use the IGP to accelerate video encoding with Quick Sync whilst still using a discrete GPU for things like gaming. There is also SSD caching enabling the use ofan inexpensive SSD to cache your most used data from your mechanical HDD. This is more useful in my eyes to people without the budget for a larger more expensive SDD, however it seems to work fairly well:
