Hello all i was hoping to get some advice on this problem with the above hardware. I bought these items nearly 2years ago for my gf's pc and they came overclocked already, however i recently updated the bios and it's seemed to off wiped all the settings (which i cannot remember). So i've tried to use the overclock tool that came with the MB ET6 but for some reason it wont allow me to go past 3.2 anymore (stock 2.66), is there anyway to find out the settings O/C had enabled on purchase or why its not letting me past 3.2 anymore. Hope you can help me and thanks for reading.

If you updated the BIOS, then I don't think there is any way of getting the settings back.

What was the previous clock speed?

Have you upped the voltage in order to cope with the higher speeds?

Why did you update the BIOS? This is one of those things that you should only do if you really have to.

the previous speed was 3.6 and i havnt touched any settings as i dont really overclock, main reason i used et6 which came with it to auto overclock it to 3.6 again (but no matter if i pick 3.4 or 3.6 still comes up as 3.2). I updated the bios as i upgraded from xp to win7 and was gettign a lot of program crashed and blue screens n a friend said to make sure my bios and all drivers were upto date which i did (but its fixed the problem).

If the auto overclock feature is not working effectively, then I would recommend doing it manually.

If you are not sure on how, then there is a very good guide here, that explains everything very well.
