Intelli. is only £25

Copperh. is £45

hmmm, ill be using it for gaming

what do you all recomend?

I shall most likely be replacing my worn out mx518 with the intellimouse. It is the mouse that a lot of top gamers use and have used since it was originally made, partly why you could see the old ones going for lots of money on auction sites when they weren't in production.

copperhead is a beauty, have a blue one myself

same as mine

the only thing that Id say about the copperhead is the forward and back buttons are pretty much useless in there present posistion.

other than that brilliant mouse

when will people learn that mice are personal preference! there is no better or worse, it's all about how you get on with a certain mouse! in my time i have had: diamondback / copperhead / mx518 / intelli mouse 1.1 / pro solution v1.6 / and i have just bought a intelliexplorer 3 so will post back on my thoughts on the 3 when i receive it today!

but as a quick guide out of the above mice i prefer the intellimouse 1.1 although it has the lowest spec out of the lot!

Surely the most important thing is how comfortable they are for you? It could be a mouse with the best specification in the world but if you can't use it for more than 20 minutes at a time it is near useless. Having said that I have the old style Intellimouse v3 and it is a great mouse but I've never used the Copperhead. If you don't want wires then I'd suggest the Logitech G7. :)

I had a blue copperhead till I replaced it with one of those logitech left-handers.

Its a good mouse, but I always found it a little uncomfortable to use for extended periods due to the grip ridge that runs down the side. Occasionally when I booted my pc, the copperhead wouldnt respond unless I removed and reseated the usb. This is a known issue with them, Razer have new firmware on their website that is supposed to correct the issue, but it didnt work for me.

Still a decent mouse though.

Going to go for the intellimouse since its cheaper and just as good i hear.

currently using a £10 one :p

Get yourself a Microsoft Habu, its like a mix between the intelli and the copperhead.. just hold out another couple of weeks and it should be here in the uk soon.

Why cant they make good mouses like this WITHOUT the wire. I've got an mx700 but its on its way out, I just cannot go back to wire.

HABU - Because extreme gamers prefer a wire. And wireless also adds weight.
V3 - Because if it was wireless everyone would cry about it not being like the original.
