I have just purchased a deathadder 2013 from OCuK (speedy purchase as usual ;) ).

I have been gaming since 1997 and bought 3 MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 over the years. It's been gradually harder to source them so I took the plunge to get the Deathadder 2013.

had it 2-3 days, and I just can't get comfortable - in fact, if I am honest, I get a few twinges (pain0 in my hand. I think I might be a claw grip, I don't know. I just don't know where to put my littlelest finger. On a minor note, my thumb never comfortably hits the side buttons.

What am I doing wrong :D

It could be any number of things. Firstly, get a mousemat if you're not using one. Secondly, check the height of your chair relative to the desk, and the angle which your elbows make when using the computer normally.

If the mouse doesn't fit your hand there's not a hell of a lot you can do about it other than keep trying mice. (Or get a RAT/Ourouboros etc.) The new Func MS-3 is getting a hell of a lot of praise from most parts, particularly when the ring and index fingers need support (it's mahoosive and seemingly really well designed).

Yeah I think what it's important to remember is that different people have different hands. Many people find the DeathAdder/Mamba shape is slap bang on perfect for their hands so you do really need to find what works for you.

Just get another Intellimouse, you can still pick them up new from many places, I'm still rocking an original Intellimouse Explorer from 2000 combined with a Cherry G80 from 1996 lol. Stupidly high DPI figures for mice is just gimmicky snake oil anyway.

I am a IM 2.0 user and I too get cramp and pain when I try and game on other mice.

Got a couple of Microsoft Comfort 6000's which are close but still give me the odd twinge now and then :(
