Is there a free online flash game (or something of the sort) that will allow you to build a computer as if the parts were there in front of you?

A friend of mine wants to build his own computer and asked me to show him how. I can't take mine apart and he doesn't want me to take his apart in case I break it :p

I tried that, lol. He's the sort of person who gets scared when the computer beeps at him. I don't really know why he wants to build one!

I would tell your friend to go watch some Youtube videos of how to build a computer, then to read reviews of the parts he wants to buy and what each part needs in order to work i.e. Motherboard socket (AM2 - 1155), RAM type (DDR2 - DDR3) Power supply, graphics cards (Nvidia - AMD) hard drives (HDD - SSD) etc etc

Once he has an understanding of what parts go where, it's essentially like lego after that that, kinda.

Edit: I think this thread would fair better in general hardware section.

I'm sure I can convince him to let me do it for him in the end ;)

But a game like that would be pretty cool, don't you think?

It would probably be the most linear game around and everyone would know the outcome before it even got started :p:p

It'd be good for anyone who hadn't built a computer before and wanted to try without having to worry about damaging anything.

Computer components are pretty noob-proof these days, training isn't exactly needed :)

The only mistake you may make is forgetting to attach a power cable to something but that won't exactly damage anything.

I might try and create a game like this myself. Anyone created a game before, or know absolutely anything about it? I have got no clue whatsoever as to where to start
