Hi,
My Dad has just phoned me with the "Interactive logon process initialization has failed" problem on his Vista Home Premium 32 laptop.
Looking around the net it seems that this is a fairly recent thing and some people have said it has only happened since a recent update. Having said that, I have exactly the same laptop as my Dad and mine is fine
Anyway, he's bringing it round so I can have a look at it and it could be that I have to repair the Vista installation.
If I do repair the installation will he lose everything on his system? ie, is it akin to re-installing windows completely or does it just restore system files?
I've only ever done a system restore before, or a complete reformat, never a repair.
Thanks in advance.
